Mobile Ad Reels

I spent a good three years creating advertisements for mobile games, beauty products, and helpful services. The ads took the form of short 30-60 second videos and short interactive experiences. Below are some highlights from this period.

11/2024 - 4/2025 Content

During the three years I spent creating mobile advertisements, a significant portion of my time was dedicated to animating 2D characters in a variety of artistic styles, as well as adding visual effects for extra flair. Below are some examples of the types of characters I typically worked on, with a focus on expression, movement, and effects.

Most of my 3D content was created in Autodesk Maya, but for this story-driven animation exercise, I chose Blender to take advantage of its user-friendly material editor for the intro. Once the animation was complete, I had a lot of fun fine-tuning the overall look of the piece. The dialogue I chose uses young and elderly voices, which was a fun contrast.
For this piece, I really just wanted to have an angry man slam something on the ground. That was the prime motivation here. Pardon the rough snakes... I modeled and rigged my own since I just couldn't find what I was looking for online.
I've done a few animations for game commercials, but never got to do a platform fighter. Here's my stab at the genre. The bear is a custom-modeled/rigged character by me.
Always important to have some non-human animations in your demo reel, so I had a little fun with this exercise. The use of the William Tell Overture was inspired by classic cartoons
